More about the artist

With a gritty yet velvety rock voice and lyrics about love, time, and the fleeting nature of life—framed by irresistible melodies and masterful guitar playing—Ronnie Åström’s music leaves no one untouched. Åström is a thoroughly compelling live performer, and his concerts are intense and sweat-drenched experiences. He gives everything from the very first beat to the very last note, as if he was born on stage.

In 2022, Ronnie received the Hans-Erik Dahlgren Scholarship for nearly three decades of work as a bandleader and guitarist behind some of Sweden’s most prominent artists—earning a reputation as one of the country's most respected musicians.

His musical journey began in his teens when, at sixteen, Ronnie dropped out of school, ran away from home, and threw himself wholeheartedly into music. Since then, he has collaborated with many of Sweden’s top artists as a bandleader, musician, and arranger. Names like Meja, Joe Bonamassa, Robert Wells, Loreen, Darin, Jakob Samuel, and Danny Saucedo are just a few examples.

In 2021, he released One Take at Sonika Studios, which includes a cover of Little Richard’s iconic hit Lucille. The track has been streamed millions of times on digital platforms and is one of the few covers of Little Richard's work that has been shared by his family.

Throughout the fall of 2023, Ronnie released several new songs, including Kärleken är Blå, Publiken satt kvar, and Lovsången, which together have been streamed over 100,000 times and are in regular rotation on Swedish Radio P4.

Picnic theater

This is a picnic event, or as we like to call is: Picnic theater. That means that you may bring your own food and drinks to the event.

It doesn’t matter what you bring – take-away pizza at one table is followed by oysters and caviar at the next. Bring what you feel like, and don't forget to bring glasses and cuttlery!

Please note that you may not bring food if you have tickets for the balcony, only drinks and snacks.
