On stage, Kadri radiates a magnetic presence. Whether seated at the piano, playing violin, or working her loop station, she shines with creativity and pure joy of performance.
“I was absolutely bowled over by the engaging quality of her voice, her imaginative arrangements and the wonderfully controlled energy of her delivery.” – Jazz Journal
Kadri Voorand has received several prestigious awards, including Estonia’s President’s Young Cultural Figure Award and the title of Musician of the Year by Estonian Public Broadcasting. Blending storytelling, rhythm, and vocal artistry, she blurs the boundaries between genres, crafting a sound entirely her own. Mihkel Mälgand’s dynamic playing and intuitive sense of ensemble have led him to share the stage with international names such as John Scofield, Randy Brecker, Nils Landgren, and Kurt Elling.
“Powerful, challenging pop music with ambition and multifaceted artistry.” – Downbeat
Together, Voorand and Mälgand form a tightly knit duo, offering an intimate and powerful musical journey where original compositions intertwine with spontaneity and imagination. They have toured widely, performing at renowned festivals and venues such as EFG London Jazz Festival, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Pori Jazz, Jazz Baltica, Tampere Jazz Happening, Marburg City Festival, Südtirol Jazz Festival, and Beijing Nine Gates Jazz Festival.

Kadri Voorand – vocals, piano, violin and live electronics
Mihkel Mälgand – double bass and electric bass

This is a picnic event, or as we like to call is: Picnic theater. That means that you may bring your own food and drinks to the event.
It doesn’t matter what you bring – take-away pizza at one table is followed by oysters and caviar at the next. Bring what you feel like, and don't forget to bring glasses and cuttlery!
Please note that you may not bring food if you have tickets for the balcony, only drinks and snacks.
