More about the artist

Brazilian rhythms take on new life, and the future of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) is taking shape! Gilsons, consisting of Francisco Gil, João Gil, and José Gil – sons and grandson of the iconic Gilberto Gil – carry on the legacy, but on their own terms. Blending tradition with contemporary influences, they weave together samba, MPB, Afro-Brazilian rhythms, rap, and electronic beats into a timeless sound. Seamlessly shifting between acoustic and electronic elements, between heartfelt nostalgia and pulsating modernity, their music is a journey through past and present.

With over 3 million listeners on Spotify and a rapidly growing global following, Gilsons have quickly become one of Brazil’s most exciting acts. Their debut album Pra Gente Acordar (2022) was nominated for a Latin Grammy, and their high-energy live performances have electrified festivals like Rock in Rio and Lollapalooza.

Their breakthrough came with Várias Queixas, a track that has amassed over 150 million streams and become a modern classic. Since then, they have continued to deliver hits like Love, Love and experiment with their sound in collaborations with artists such as BaianaSystem, Lagum, and Rachel Reis. During the pandemic, they released atmospheric tracks like Índia, Devagarinho, and Besteira, and their music has continued to evolve with fresh rhythms and new influences.

With hypnotic grooves, a signature swing, and powerful vocals, Gilsons prove that MPB is more alive than ever. They are both a love letter to Brazilian music and a bold vision of its future – a combination that makes them absolutely Irresistible on stage.

Picnic theater

This is a picnic event, or as we like to call is: Picnic theater. That means that you may bring your own food and drinks to the event.

It doesn’t matter what you bring – take-away pizza at one table is followed by oysters and caviar at the next. Bring what you feel like, and don't forget to bring glasses and cuttlery!

Please note that you may not bring food if you have tickets for the balcony, only drinks and snacks.
