Widely regarded as one of Scotland’s most skilled and imaginative contemporary folk ensembles, Breabach masterfully blend their Highland and Island roots with the vibrant, innovative energy of their Glasgow home base. Their rich and varied repertoire is not only grounded in tradition but also inspired by their global tours and encounters with diverse musical traditions. Adding a unique dimension to their performances, Highland dance by Meghan Henderson brings an extra touch of authenticity and flair.

In 2025, Breabach will celebrate an incredible 20 years as a band. Over two decades, they have released six critically acclaimed albums and performed around the world, including major appearances in Nordic festivals like Førde Folk Festival and Kaustinen Folk Music Festival.
