Nana Rashid (DK/OM)
Nana Rashid has quickly established herself as one of the most promising voices on the Danish jazz scene. Her extraordinary voice and her musical approach—naked, vulnerable, yet powerful—have made her a rising star. Her debut album, Music For Betty (2023), marked the beginning of a successful career. The album received glowing reviews, was frequently played on Danish national radio, and led to performances at international festivals as well as numerous concerts across Denmark. Rashid was also awarded the title of New Jazz Artist of the Year at the 2023 Danish Music Awards Jazz.
Music For Betty is more than just an album—it is a metaphor for human vulnerability, a tribute to the lives we lead and the inevitable pain we all carry.
