Rockgruppen Coast från den engelska kuststaden Southampton, blåser nytt liv i den keltiska folkrocken med högenergisk och medryckande rock, utan att för den sakens skull tappa fotfästet i traditionen. De är stolta över sina keltiska rötter och kombinerar Springsteens passion med inspiration från både Coldplay och Runrig.

Support Victoria theater

As a result of the pandemic situation that prevails with the spread of the new coronavirus and the covid-19 disease, the Victoria theater is facing an uncertain future. Culture is an industry that, even before the spread of the virus, has been characterized by small financial margins and low incomes. We currently don't know what this situation will mean for our business or how long it will last, but something that is quite certain is that it will not be easy, neither for society at large nor for us as a culture scene and culture workers; with everything it entails with the loss of ticket revenue, reduced audience numbers and personal losses.

We will do everything we can to get through this difficult time, but we need your help. Firstly, we appeal to you who purchased a ticket to one of the concerts that have been canceled, that if you have the possibility, not to claim back the money for the tickets or consider making a donation to us via Swish: 123 374 91 73. If you would like a refund for your tickets, notify your claim for reimbursement to Kulturcentralen at Södra Förstadsgatan 18, +46 (0) 40-10 30 20, info@kulturcentralen.nu at the latest one (1) month from the event date / day when the event should have taken place.

Bandet som grundades av bröderna Paul Eastham och Chris Barnes släppte sitt debutalbum 2009. Bröderna Paul och Chris spenderade sin barndomssomrar på en ö i Yttre Hebriderna i Skottland, Benbecula. Deras mor var folksångerska och deras far spelade bas i ett rockband – något som i hög grad influerat Coast sound. Deras musikaliska universum är något av en hybrid av deras föräldrars musikaliska preferenser och deras högenergiska och slående rock, med omvägar till den traditionella keltiska folken har en karaktär och stil som formats och färgats av de dramatiska landskapen och de kulturella influenserna från den skotska öregionen.   

Frontmannen Paul är en enastående låtskrivare, vokalist, artist, producent och virtuos pianist, med ett omfattande CV som innehåller framträdanden och samarbeten med några av de mest ansedda internationella artisterna, låtskrivarna och producenterna i branschen. Gruppen har under över ett decennium verksamma som band gett ut tre album, flera EPs och positionerat sig som ett etablerat, erkänt och samspelat band både i Storbritannien, Europa och Skandinavien, där de har spelat otaliga konserter. Deras fängslande musik har spelats både på BBC, P4 och P5.
